Bus Riding Rules:
- Please have correct change. Drivers do not carry change.
- Plan your trip ahead of time if possible.
- Please be ready when the bus arrives. The driver will wait 3 minutes and then proceed.
- Buses may arrive early, so be ready.
- If you require special needs (wheelchair, walker, etc.) let the dispatcher know when you schedule your ride.
- Limit your carry on bags or groceries to two bags. You will be charged for anything over two.
- Please assist young children on and off the bus. An adult must be present to meet a child that is being dropped off.
- We encourage safety, please buckle up.
- Please schedule your return trip when you schedule your pick up if possible.
- Make sure to call and cancel your bus if you are not riding, if the bus shows up, you will be charged for a no show. Please help us avoid unnecessary trips.
- The bus may make several stops along the way to your destination, so please plan a slightly longer ride than in an automobile.
- We make every effort to serve you during adverse weather conditions, but we will need to initiate delays when necessary.
- The passengers language, presence and demeanor shall not disrupt the safety, peace and comfort of other passengers or TAT employees.
- All passengers shall be reasonably clean and free of extreme or unpleasant odors.
- The passenger is to remain seated whenever the vehicle is in motion.
- Heads, hands and feet shall be kept inside the vehicle at all times.
- Passengers shall not cause excessive noise or rowdy conduction in the vehicle.
- Eating or drinking is allowed with the drivers permission. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are allowed on any Thumb Area Transit bus.
- Lighting matches or smoking on the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
- Transportation of flammable, explosive substances or firearms is strictly prohibited.
