Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Meeting/workshop

All citizens are advised that the Huron Transit Corporation Dba Thumb Area Transit has scheduled a meeting /workshop for June 22, at 9:30 am. The Meeting will take place at Thumb Area Transit, 1513 Bad Axe Rd.

The Safe, Affordable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act, A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) requires that projects selected for funding under the Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities Program(Section 5310); the Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) (Section5316); and /or the New Freedom Program(Section5317) be derived from a locally developed, coordinated public transit-human services transportation plan, and that the plan be developed through a process that includes representatives of public, private, and non-profit and human services transportation providers and participation by the public.
